JESUS, THE TRUE VINE

Updated: Apr 6, 2020

“I am the real vine, and my Father is the gardener. He breaks off every branch in me that does not bear fruit, and he prunes every branch that does bear fruit, so that it will be clean and bear more fruit. You have been made clean already by the teaching I have given you. Remain united to me, and I will remain united to you. A branch cannot bear fruit by itself; it can do so only if it remains in the vine. In the same way you cannot bear fruit unless you remain in me (John 15:1-4, GNT).

“I am the vine, and you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will bear much fruit; for you can do nothing without me (John 15:1-4, GNT).

LET’S PRAY

Dear Heavenly Father,

My heart is grateful that I remain united with the true vine, Jesus Christ. As you continue to prune me, Father, let the fruit of your spirit grow abundantly in my life so that I may be a blessing to others.

My life is empty without your presence, Lord. I submit my dreams, visions, ideas, and relationships to you. If they are unfruitful, Lord, I yield to your pruning process to make me more fruitful, in the name of Jesus, amen.
