Welcome to day 34 of our 40-day countdown to Easter 2019! God Loves You! Salvation is made available to every person through the blood of Jesus Christ. That means He has already paid the price by shedding his blood on the cross. When you receive His promise, you are not your own, but you’ve been bought with a price (I Corinthians 6:19-20).
As we read in Ephesians 2:8-9, the scripture reads, “For by Grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works (your own efforts), lest any man should boast.”
There are three things a person must do to accept Jesus Christ and their Lord and Savior, they are:
1. Admit that you are a sinner
2. Repent of your sins
3. Confess Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord
THE CHALLENGE
I challenge you to lead someone to Jesus Christ. Tell them that God loves them no matter their past. He’s more interested in our future than our past. Sometimes people think they’re so bad and they’ve done so much wrong that God won’t forgive them.
Let them know that you were once a lost sinner who did not know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Let them know that you felt the same way. Your life was a mess, too, just like everyone else who has been forgiven for their sins.
Let them know that God’s love is so big that he took care of us before we were even born by sending Jesus Christ his only son to take on the sins of the world including past, present, and future.
Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
Revelation 3:20 KJV
PRAYER OF SALVATION
You can pray this prayer alone or if you are leading someone to Jesus Christ, ask the person to repeat this prayer after you:
Lord Jesus, come into my heart, forgive me for all of my sins. I make you Lord and Savior of my life from his day forth, in the name of Jesus, amen.
