MARRIAGE: A Relationship To-Die-For Part 2

Updated: Apr 5, 2020

Excerpt from "Marriage: A Relationship To-Die-For Part 2" by Pastor Sean & Dr. Regina Daigre. We will teach on marriage and family for the entire month of February 2020. The topics are: 1) Love is Respectful; 2) Love is Patient; 3) Love is Forgiving; 4) Love is Supportive, and; 5) Love is Intentional.

LOVE IS PATIENT

Love is kind. Love is humble.

Love is not jealous, it does not brag, and it is not proud.

Love is not rude, is not selfish, and does not get upset with others.

Love does not count up wrongs that have been done.

Love takes no pleasure in evil but rejoices over the truth.

Love patiently accepts all things.

Love always trusts, always hopes, and always endures.

Love never contradicts itself.

Love does not wear down people with lies, inappropriate comments, and other tactics.

Love does not instill self-doubt and even psychosis.

Love does not alienate others against you.

Love does not manipulate. Love does not lie.

Love does not accuse others of lying, cheating or manipulation.

Love is not hypocrisy. Love is not confusion.

Love is patient. Love is kind. Love is wonderful all the time.

Love never ends.

LOVE IS PERFECT

There are gifts of prophecy, but they will be ended.

There are gifts of speaking in different languages, but those gifts will stop.

There is the gift of knowledge, but it will come to an end.

The reason is that our knowledge and our ability to prophesy are not perfect. But when perfection comes, the things that are not perfect will end.

When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man (or woman), I stopped those childish ways.

It is the same with us.

Now we see a dim reflection, as if we were looking into a mirror, but then we shall see clearly.

Now I know only a part, but then I will know fully, as God has known me.

So, these three things continue forever: faith, hope, and love. And the greatest of these is love.

1 Corinthians 13:4-13 NCV

LET’S PRAY ALOUD

I decree and declare this day that perfect love casts out doubt, fear, manipulation, lying, cheating, divisiveness, strife, confusion, and alienation of others. The devil is a liar and God is the truth. The love of God rules in my heart. My light will shine before everyone so that they can see my good works and glorify my Father in heaven. I pray a spirit of conviction over every lying, cheating, and divisive backbiting tongue that would attempt to destroy the love of God in my marriage and family. I release the peace of God over my family, extended family, my church family, and all of Israel.

Shema, O’ Israel.

“Hear, O’ Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength”, in the name of Jesus. Amen (Deuteronomy 6:4-5).

Inspiring hope,

Dr. Regina Daigre

P.S.: If you don't know Jesus as your Lord and Savior and want to be born again, pray this prayer aloud:

Lord God, forgive me for my sins. Jesus, come into my heart. I make you, Jesus, my Lord and Savior. Amen.

WHAT'S NEXT:

Find a church home where the word of God is being taught and Jesus Christ is being lifted up. Study the bible. Love one another, serve, and lead.
