Day 13 of 21 Days of Prayer. Check the Settings. Need strength to reach your goals this year? No worries. Your relationship with God through Jesus Christ will help you when the times are tough. And we all know, the tough times will come but when you declare, I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me (Philippians 4:13 KJV), the faith gate opens over your life.
Having a vision and setting goals to achieve that vision can be challenging. But be encouraged! When you are short on motivation, tired or feeling overwhelmed, remember you can draw strength from your relationship with Jesus Christ.
You see, having a vision is like loading a new app to your smart phone, only to realize that it is draining your battery. Well, the good news is that you can adjust the settings, save battery life and keep the app!
In a similar fashion, one way to refresh your strength is to refresh your spiritual life in Christ. If your goals are draining your battery, Jesus can show you how to tweak your goals. Jesus can show you how to refresh. Jesus can show you how to reset the settings. He’ll remove the things in your life that’s draining your battery. Jesus knows how to clear the paths to give you a reboot anyday, anytime, and anyplace. Your relationship with Him, sets boundaries for "all things" that should be in your life. The Holy Spirit will instruct you how to conduct your life.
The truth is, sometimes the things we desire or ask for, are not what's best for us. I Corinthians 10:23 says it this way ~ "All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not."
In other words, exercise discretion when choosing the things to pursue because even if your goal is morally legitimate and permissible by God, it may not be beneficial or advantageous for you. It maybe the app you want, but is it best for you?
If the app is draining your battery, may be you need to check the settings. Pray and seek God's best for you. Fortify your relationship with God so that you are clear about what's constructive and edifying to you and your family. Check the settings of your vision and make the necessary adjustments.
You will draw strength and encouragement from knowing that your vision and the work to accomplish it, is building character and enhancing your spiritual life.
When you and all things about you, are in Christ, you will find the battery life through the power of the Holy Spirit (strength) to accomplish all things through Christ!
PRAY THIS PRAYER ALOUD
Lord, I am so thankful for the freedom You have given me to choose what to do with my life. But choosing things that are constructive and beneficial can sometimes be a daunting task.
Holy Spirit, help me. Lead me away from illegal, immoral and illicit things that would slow down my battery life. Help me to make adjustments and embrace what is morally right and edifying for my life. Show me the path to add strength to my life and to remove what is draining power from my life.
I offer my circumstances to You and ask You to construct a vision that is uniquely designed for me.
Fuel my heart and body with the daily desire to achieve. I declare that I will finish what You have helped me to start.
In the name of Jesus's. Amen!
