40 Days of Amazing Love – A love letter from God - Day 38 IDENTITY THEFT PART I
DAILY DEVOTION
John 10:10
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.
REFLECTION
The thief wants to ruin your credibility. He wants to ruin your life. Satan is trying to keep you from seeing, finding, and fulfilling your life’s purpose and destiny in God. Satan has an assignment. He’s looking to breach your spiritual firewall to steal and ruin your identity.
Oftentimes, what we see happening in the natural realm is a direct reflection of what is happening in the spiritual realm.
The rise of identity theft in the world is SYMBOLIC of what is happening SPIRITUALLY to people all around the world.
I want to show you the TACTICS of YOUR ENEMY today so that he WILL NOT be ALLOWED to STEAL your identity.
A spiritual firewall is spiritual wall built on prayer, praise, worship, hope, obedience, purpose, expectation, love, faith, and the word.
To breach your spiritual firewall, the enemy downloads his negative data into your database.
HOW DOES SATAN STEAL YOUR IDENTITY?
PART #1 Satan’s goal is to get you to BELIEVE that you are your BEHAVIOR. We are actually, how we feel or behave.
It is important to realize that our feelings and behavior are situational and we can change them—the TRUTH IS feelings and behavior ARE NOT who we REALLY ARE. They might be things that we struggle with, but they ARE NOT our identity, or who we are in Christ.
This includes the things that you may think about yourself at a deep level. You might not consciously believe them, but you find yourself thinking them or saying them about yourself on a regular basis. We say things like I am poor, or stupid, I’m sick or dying…the list goes on.
MOST PEOPLE don't see that there is a DIRECT CONNECTION between the way they VIEW THEMSELVES and their DESTINY.
Proverbs 23:7 states, “For as he thinks in his heart, so is he…”.
When doubts of who you are in Christ come to you, begin to speak God’s word. Here’s a scripture to mediate and speak into your life:
"I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well (Psalm 139:14)".
You are who God says you are. Don’t allow the enemy to steal your identity.
PROTECT your identity with the word of God.
PRAYER DIRECTIVE
Ask the Lord to reveal himself to you so that you may reflect his glory.
