DAILY DEVOTION

Jeremiah 31:3

The Lord appeared to me (Israel) from ages past, saying, “I have loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you and continued My faithfulness to you.

REFLECTION

His promises are for those who believe in the redeeming work of Jesus Christ.

God never gives up on us. Like the children of Israel, they roamed around the wilderness for 40 years looking for the Promised Land. Their own disobedience separated them from the loving God who delivered them from the Egyptians.

The children of Israel began to hear from God when they began to disconnect from the traditions and practices of Egypt. God never left them. He was drawing them all the while with his lovingkindness as they wandered through the wilderness. The only thing that hindered them from truly hearing from God and sensing his presence was the sin and baggage they brought from Egypt.

Withdraw from sin.

Say bye to Egypt.

Lean in towards the One who truly loves you.

God’s love is an everlasting love.

Moreover, He’s beckoning for you with His lovingkindness.

"Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him (Psalm 34:8).”

Seek a deeper relationship with God.

PRAYER DIRECTIVE

Ask the Lord to reveal to you ways you can reflect his love to others.
