AND SO IT BEGINS!

Praise the Lord for day 21 of 21 Days of Prayer!

"But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and manifests through us the sweet aroma of the knowledge of Him in every place." II Corinthians 2:14

After 20 days of prayer, evaluating our hearts and considering our ways, let's take everything we have learned and make today, the first day of a winning season!

Larry Bird said, "A winner is someone who recognizes his God-given talents, works his tail off to develop them into skills, and uses these skills to accomplish his goals."

Tapping into your God-given talents and working hard to develop them into goal reaching skills will result in you accomplishing great things in 2018.

That means today, day 21, is only the beginning of your adventure. When you start off right, you have a far greater chance of finishing right. And so it begins! As you go back and review each day, apply everything you have learned, it's only a matter of time before your senses are pleasantly awakened by the "sweet aroma" of triumph!

In the words of another great athlete, Emmitt Smith,

"Vision gets the dreams started. Dreaming employs your God-given imagination to reinforce the vision. Both are part of something I believe is absolutely necessary to building the life of a champion, a winner, a person of high character who is consistently at the top of whatever game he or she is in."

If 2018 is your year to build the life a champion, a winner or a person of high character, you must be consistent in your walk with God ~ letting Him guide your efforts to achieve your goals.

That is what Paul meant in I Corinthians 9:24 when he said "Run in such a way that you may win." Running in "such a way" is you being consistent about your relationship with God and application of His Word to your life. It is only then that your God-given vision and skills to win takes flight. It will be through high character and intestinal fortitude that you will reach the vision that God has given to you.

Our Prayer,

Lord, today is the beginning of a my winning season in 2018. Teach me how to apply every tool that You've given me to succeed.

I ask for the desire and consistent effort to keep going, even when circumstances attempt to stop me. Today and for the rest of this year, I will eagerly give diligence to make my calling and election sure because in II Peter 1:10, You promised that if I practice these things, that I would never fail.

I commit myself and every aspect of this journey to Your hands, confidently knowing that You are able to keep safe, what I have entrusted to Your care. Thank you for giving me vision, dreams, goals and plans in 2018.

In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen!

~Inspiring hope and seasoning faith, Pastor Sean
