HUNGER GAMES

Welcome to day 8 of 21 Days of Prayer.

The new year is a new season. A time when many people inspect their hearts and consider how to make the best of the new season. But we all know that requires change and change is not always easy.

That's when the game begins! If your hunger to succeed is not greater than your anticipation of failure, you will not win.

The tug of war between desire and fear becomes a game where only the strong survives. You must fight, thinking like the Apostle Paul in I Corinthians 9:25-27, "Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. Therefore I do not run like someone running aimlessly; I do not fight like a boxer beating the air. No, I strike a blow to my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize."

So how about you? How much, how badly, do you want to accomplish your goals in 2018?

Is your hunger to succeed greater than your fear of failure? If so, you will be successful. This is your year to succeed! The one sure way to succeed is with Jesus Christ.

Let's pray.

Lord, in the name of Jesus, I can do all things through the strength You give me! If there's even a hint of doubt in my heart, please increase my faith.

I have a hunger and a thirst for You, O' Lord. Holy Spirit, coach me through those moments of testing.

As I face the opponents to winning, infuse me with vision so that I can see myself crossing over the hurdles in my way.

I am a winner, not a loser, a finisher and not a quitter! I am so thankful for the hunger to see your power manifested in my life. It is because of Your grace and mercy, that I have victory in 2018.

In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen!

Inspiring Hope and Seasoning Faith, Pastor Sean
