In this day and hour of our Society, you may not want to care about things happening around you but at some point, you will be made to care. That’s a hard statement to make and yet, it is exactly what the Lord was telling us when he said, Matthew 5:37, “But let your 'Yes' be 'Yes' and your 'No' be 'No.' Whatever is more than these is of the evil one.”. Take a stand and be confident about where you stand. Anything other than this, will cause you to miss your goal and fall short of God’s best for your life.

Jesus said, “I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot; I wish that you were cold or hot. So because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of My mouth.” Rev 3:15-16

Life is like trying to paddle up river. As long as you are paddling you are heading in a definitive direction. But the moment you stop paddling, you drift wherever the current takes you.

As Christians, we must be convinced, committed and completely sold out if we are to continue paddling.

Sometimes the current is against us, pushing and pulling away from your destination and other times it seems the current is going our way.

Regardless of that, you can’t afford to leave your life to the chance that drifting with the current will get you to the place you desire to go.

Remember the three Hebrew boys in the book of Daniel? When the King confronted them about not following his command to bow down and worship the image he set up, they didn’t hesitate to answer!

They told the King, “Our God is able to deliver us from the burning fire, and he will deliver us from your hand. But if not, we will still not bow down and worship the statute.” They said “But if not…” we are sold out!

Are you sold out?

Have you given it all up for the cause of your calling? When the world, the flesh and the devil comes to make you an offer, do you take inventory, realize that the shelf is clean and every area of your life has been dedicated to God? Do you say, “Sorry, out of stock, I’m sold out!”? If you’re not sold out, please make sure you’re not a sell out!

Let’s fix this right now!

Heavenly Father, right now I commit to be sold out to your purpose for my life. I surrender my dreams and my plans to Your agenda. Help me to hold on. I ask for your power and strength to paddle against the currents of the world, the flesh and the devil.

Give me the grit determination to answer every distraction and worldly confrontation with the words, “But if not!” because I know You are able to deliver me and that You have my best interest in mind.

I trust You, O’ Lord.

No longer will I hesitate between the world and heaven. You are God and therefore, I will follow you.
