DAILY DEVOTION

Psalm 37:1-4

Don’t worry about the wicked or envy those who do wrong. For like grass, they soon fade away. Like spring flowers, they soon wither.

Trust in the Lord and do good. Then you will live safely in the land and prosper. Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you your heart’s desires.

REFLECTION

His promises are for those who believe in the redeeming work of Jesus Christ.

WHO ARE YOU KEEPING COMPANY WITH?

Sometimes the grass looks greener on the other side but we all know looks can be deceiving. God does not want us to worry ourselves about what others have, which could lead to envy and jealousy.

KEEPING COMPANY WITH GOD

Instead, God wants us to trust Him. Take out an insurance policy with the one who guarantees compensation no matter your loss. Jesus Christ paid a high premium for our freedom. We can approach God at any time through the blood of Jesus Christ with no out of pocket expenses or high premiums.

We are to befriend faithfulness and stay in company with God. Then, he will give us the desires of our heart; hence, the undiscovered purpose that’s in us will be revealed to us so that we can be a blessing to others.

As we remain faithful to God, he promises us safety and prosperity in this life as we keep company with Him.

AGAIN, WHO ARE YOU KEEPING COMPANY WITH?

Ask the Lord to reveal to you ways you can reflect his love to others.
