LOVE IS AS LOVE DOES

Updated: Apr 6, 2020

As we continue our walk of prayer and fasting, your desire for God should be increasing. Let's continue to desire God's presence. In Psalm 73:17, the psalmist realized that God is the strength of his heart.

God is our source for holiness, purity, and righteousness. The desire for unrighteousness fades, disappears, and is annihilated in the presence of God. If you are still struggling with sin, perhaps you have not let go of it. Sin cannot abide in God's presence. Ask God to soak you in His laundry so that you may come out clean (Psalm 51 MSG). Ask God to be glorified in your temple (your body) (I Corinthians 6:19).

Holding on to sin is like coming to the gate of God's presence but you won't step in because you are too in love with your sinful lifestyle. Jesus said in John 14:15, "If you love me, keep my commandments". You see, love is as love does. We always choose the one we love, but now is the time to choose the one who loves you.

LET'S PRAY

Heavenly Father, I pray that people will experience Your presence and their eyes will be opened when they approach Your gate. I pray that people will make a decision to step into a life of righteousness (Heaven's gate) and leave hell's gate. Let their love for you be so strong that they will leave behind the life of going through the motions and empty performances.

Holy Spirit touch the hearts and minds of every man, woman, boy, and girl to make a life changing decision to serve you in mind, body, soul, and spirit. Create in them a clean heart. Renew a right spirit within them. Save them from darkness and bring them into your marvelous light. Father, let them bring their heart-shattered lives to you and experience real love, in the name of Jesus, amen!
