WHAT'S NEXT?

Sean Daigre | Day 16

Updated: Apr 6, 2020

Welcome to day 16 of 21 days of Prayer. Prayer has a way of guiding you. After you've done it for a while, new thoughts emerge and old ideas awaken. As you ponder on the possibilities with excitement and gain momentum to achieve, you also realize that God is guiding you.

"Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths."

(Proverbs 3:5‭-‬6 KJV)

At this point, the question is "What's Next?" And the answer is to keep listening to what the Lord is speaking. This is why the daily prayer habit is so important. You must continue the conversation. I Thessalonians 5:17 says, "Pray without ceasing." The routine becomes easier over time and eventually you'll find yourself looking forward to spending time with God. Why? Because each time you humble yourself and pray, seek God's guidance, commune with Him and be obedient to His Word, you discover the next step you need to take. And that feeling, my friend, is expectation that is lasting and contagious!

LET'S PRAY: Lord, I am so enthralled with the idea of communing with You. I want to continue the conversation. Open my heart to hear Your voice and grant me the hunger to pursue more. Let the warmth of your love fill my tank with expectation. No matter what the world says, I affirm my trust in You. Commune with me as I commune with You. Speak to me throughout the day. I will acknowledge You. I am so honored to be Your child and I am excited to hear YOUR voice daily. In Jesus's name, Amen!
