Eternal Builder

Updated: Jan 20, 2020

Eternal Builder. Day 13 of 21 Days of Prayer – Winter 2020. “By an act of faith, Abraham said yes to God’s call to travel to an unknown place that would become his home. When he left, he had no idea where he was going. By an act of faith, he lived in the country promised him, lived as a stranger camping in tents. Isaac and Jacob did the same, living under the same promise. Abraham did it by keeping his eye on an unseen city with real, eternal foundations—the City designed and built by God (Hebrews 11:10).” Faith is unseen in the natural but the foundations area real.

Gather your family. Pack your bags. Kiss everybody good bye and head east. That was Abraham’s itinerary. That was God’s plan for Abraham. Abraham said yes to God’s plan by faith. Abraham dwelled in an unknown place by faith. God sent Abraham to an unknown place to build an unshakable infrastructure.

Normally, we focus on Abraham; but today, we want to focus on God, the eternal builder.

God is our Architect who provides us with a divine destiny wrapped up in a plan with few instructions.

If God gave us too many details, we would not follow through. If we really knew how hard it is to build the invisible, we would quit before we start. Fear would grip most of us in our tracks.

The eternal builder gives plans to people of faith. Now, not every plan comes from God. There are good plans and there are God plans. There are good ideas and there are God ideas.

Qualities of God’s Plan

If your plan doesn’t shake you, it’s probably just a good plan. But the eternal builder will give you a plan, a blueprint, a sketch, a few words scribbled on a napkin, a soft whisper that will shake you. You won’t sit on it. You will get up and start moving. The plan will energize you. Your faith will activate the plan of God.

  • Usually, you don’t have all of the details when it’s God’s plan. You just know that it’s God because it’s activated by faith.

  • You generally don’t have all of the resources to get the job done. God wants you to believe in yourself, believe in God’s plan, and believe the resources will come when you activate your faith. Now, the resources just won’t fall out of the sky, you must work. Activation means work. Builders work!

  • The plan will shake you. You go to bed thinking about it. The plan will keep you up at night. The plan will wake you up in the morning.

  • The Holy Spirit will speak to you through uncommon avenues. You walk outside and the Holy Spirit will speak to you through the four seasons. The Holy Spirit will speak to you through movies. When my family and I watch a movie, a discussion follows. They comment on the plot, but I have 12 revelations and sermons. The Holy Spirit will speak to you through ordinary people who are not acquainted with you. God, the eternal builder, will use situations and occurrences to build your faith and kill your doubt.

Unshakable Foundations

God will build everything internally before he allows you to see it externally. Why? He requires unshakable faith to build unshakable foundations.

We must have unshakable faith to move forward when God says go.

We must have unshakable faith to undergo the trials, tests, and challenges that come with building an unshakable foundation.

Looking for Builders

God is in the business of building and making people of faith who will reproduce his indestructible infrastructure. When we build based on the promises of our eternal builder, we produce an invisible, indispensable, indestructible infrastructure by faith.

God is looking for builders who are willing to build strong marriages.

God is looking for builders who are willing to build strong families.

God is looking for builders who are willing to build strong communities.

God is looking for builders who are willing to build strong churches.

God is looking for builders who are willing to build strong businesses.

God is looking for builders who are willing to build strong five-fold ministries.

God is looking for builders who are willing to build strong leaders.

God is looking for builders who are willing to build strong intercessors.

God is looking for builders who are willing to build strong mentors.

God is looking for builders who are willing to build strong teams to support strong leaders.

God is looking for builders who are willing to build strong people living in strong cities fortified by the eternal builder, God, himself.

You may be thinking, how is this possible? How can you be so sure?

First, God gave man the power to do so (Genesis Chapter 1).

Then, God activated the most prevalent transaction ever made in history through the redemption of Jesus Christ’s life for our sins. This transaction cannot be revoked, rejected, repealed, rescinded, annulled, nullified, retracted, withdrawn, cancelled, overridden, or overruled. It’s a done deal; signed, sealed, and delivered.

Here’s how the transaction worked. The real Christ, God’s only son, gave his life in exchange for our sins. He died a real death. Then, with the boldness, audacity, and anointing, the real Christ, God’s only son, went and took his life back through the real resurrection. His crucifixion, death, and resurrection, not only paid for our sins but gave us eternal life.

Christ redeemed us from that self-defeating, cursed life by absorbing it completely into himself. Do you remember the Scripture that says, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree?" That is what happened when Jesus was nailed to the cross: He became a curse, and at the same time dissolved the curse. And now, because of that, the air is cleared and we can see that Abraham’s blessing is present and available for non-Jews, too. We are all able to receive God’s life, his Spirit, in and with us by believing—just the way Abraham received it (Galatians 3:13-14).

Through Jesus Christ, we now have access to the eternal builder, God Almighty. We now have the power, authority, and blood bought right to share the gospel to build up the body of Christ.

We are Builders!

And remember, builders work.

Before you build, check with the eternal builder. Seek his face. Ask him for the plan for your life; for your marriage; for your family; and, for your next steps. Then, submit to the plan. Once God gives you a plan, don’t allow anyone to modify, amend, or revise your plan. Don’t deviate from the plan. Stick with God, the eternal builder, and God, the eternal builder, will stick with you.

Let's Pray Aloud!

Lord, thank you that I have access to the eternal builder through the shed blood of Jesus Christ. God, thank you for being the Architect of my divine destiny. I pray for builders of your kingdom that they would be fortified by your grace and love to build up the body of Christ, in the name of Jesus. Amen!

P.S.: If you don't know Jesus as your Lord and Savior and want to be born again, pray this prayer aloud:

Lord God, forgive me for my sins. Jesus, come into my heart. I make you, Jesus, my Lord and Savior. Amen.
