THE ALABASTER BOX
The moral of the alabaster box story in Luke 7:36-50 is that we all have a special gift that we can bring to Jesus so that he can use for the glory of the Father. Jesus recognized that this woman gave her inheritance, all that she had to anoint his feet and dry them with her hair. While others focused on her sin, Jesus focused on her heart. He saw the love that she demonstrated to him, which proved that her sins had been forgiven. Jesus said to the woman, “Your faith has saved you; go in peace.”
Too often we focus on symptoms rather than how much we can pour out our love for Jesus Christ, our Savior. When the love of Jesus washes our lives, there is no room for sin. Let's focus on bringing our best to Jesus. Let's focus on giving him all that we have to bring glory to our Father.
As Ce Ce Winans sang, "You don't know the cost of the oil in my alabaster box". Take a moment and listen to "Alabaster Box" for a deeper meaning that will encourage you on your personal journey in life. Please don't miss the event so register now.
