The truth of God’s word will trump facts every time. It may be a fact that you lost your job or your family members are at odds with each other or some people are just hard to reach, but God’s word is the truth. John 8:32 reads, “ And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” No matter how hard you try to reach some people, they drift farther away from God's plan and embrace their way over God's way.
The underlining substrata to resisting God's plan is rebellion. We can easily identify this demonic spirit as self-reliant, selfishness, and its always in opposition to authority. Everything the person does is in the power of self. When a person rebels they resist the promises of God. Failure is bound to follow.
To overcome the spirit of rebellion, we must remember that God must be exalted more than the rebellion. Instead of rehearsing all of the negative things that the person is doing, begin to decree God’s word and his blessings over their lives.
We are asking you to take The Hope Challenge of the Week. For each day of this week, pray with us 3 Prayer Keys for people who are lost, hurting, and hopeless.
Pray that God would send labors to minister to lost family members and to those who know Christ but are rebelling against His promises. Pray that the laborer will speak destiny in their lives. Pray that the lost will be found and the rebellious be restored to God.
Read the Scripture: Matthew 9:37-38 Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”
Pray that their spiritual blindness be removed from their eyes so that they can see clearly God’s plan for their lives.
Read the Scripture: 2 Corinthians 4:4 The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.
Pray that they will seek God. Pray that they will fill that longing emptiness with God. Ask God for a longing to grow in their hearts. Pray that they will seek God out and have a desire to know him.
Read the Scripture: Acts 17:27 God did this so that they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from any one of us.
