Day 20 BE THE CHANGE

Saturday, August 20, 2016

Greetings! It's Day 20 of 21 Days of Prayer. You know, God does not bless us so that we keep that newly acquired strength all to ourselves. Romans 15:1 in the Amplified version of the Bible, says, "WE WHO are STRONG [in our convictions and of ROBUST faith] ought to bear with the failings and the frailties and the tender scruples of the weak; [we ought to help carry the doubts and qualms of others] and not to please ourselves." When God makes you strong, it's usually in areas where others around you are weak. Pray that God will show you how to use your strength as a lifeline to those who are weak. We cannot change people. You must be the change you want to see in the world. Only through the power of the Holy Spirit can lives be changed. Instead of judging others, pray for them. Stand in the gap for someone else today. Use your faith to believe that God will transform the lives of others who are struggling in their faith. When you do this, not only will you notice a change in others but you will notice a change in yourself.

Use your strength as a lifeline to those who are weak.

While you are praying, the Holy Spirit will impress you to pray for people individually. Pray for them.

Pray this prayer:  Father God, forgive me for being judgmental of others. Holy Spirit, I invite you into my heart so that I may develop compassion for those who struggle in their walk with Christ. I come to you today not for myself but for others who are struggling with making a decision to be completely transformed by the renewing of their minds. Holy Spirit, I ask you to intervene in the lives of my family, friends, co-workers, church members, neighbors, and all those who find it difficult to follow Christ. I pray that (insert name) does not conform to this world: but is transformed by the renewing of their mind, so that they may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Let them have an experience with You that they cannot deny. In the name of Jesus, Amen.
